Maracas are musical instrument of Cuban origin. They are used in various styles of Latin American dance music, such as salsa, cha-cha-cha, merengue, samba. Maracas can be used not only in music, but also in children's games, like rattles with a pleasant rustling sound.
Hold the maracas with one hand and only by the handle. The strength of the sound depends on the strength of the shaking instrument. The movement of the tool can be vertical and horizontal. Vertical – gives a louder, stronger sound, horizontal movement gives a quiet rustling sound.
Maracas are a paired instrument, they play on them, shaking alternately with each hand, or performing movement with both hands at the same time, while the hands are at shoulder height. For greater expressiveness, emphasizing some kind of sound, you can “throw” your hand forward or make rotational movements in different directions.
Using a phonogram, invite the child to play along with the song, shaking the maracas evenly at the same pace, and at the end hide the maracas behind his back, repeat the game with the sound of the music beginning.
