Spira B-400 je sodoben štiristrunski aktivni bas, izdelan za udarnost, jasnost in resnično delovanje. Zasnovan je tako, da se prebije skozi glasne kitare in težke zveneče bobne, ter zagotavlja osredotočene, nadzorovane nizke tone, ki ostanejo prisotni tudi v najgostejšem mixu.
Telo iz praženega topola ga ohranja lahkotnega in resonančnega, vrat in fretboard iz praženega javora pa zagotavljata udoben, hiter in stabilen občutek z odlično definicijo tonov. Z 24 jumbo prečkami imajo basisti na voljo celoten dvooktavni razpon za tehnične poteze, natančno fraziranje in razširjene linije.
Poganjajo ga prilagojeni aktivni Spira Soapbar pickupi, B-400 pa zagotavlja "tight" nizke tone, artikulirane srednje tone in agresiven odziv brez neželenega pacanja zvoka, kar je idealno za rock in metal tone.
