Ernie Ball 2854 Nickel Wound Short Scale electric bass strings are made from nickel plated steel wrapped around a hex shaped steel core wire. Each bass guitar string produces a bright, balanced tone. Designed to fit 30.5" scale basses, the string length is 48" with a taper at 32.5".
High quality sound is achieved through the nickel-plated steel winding. Coiled strings are made from a steel hex core, while uncoiled strings are made from specially hardened, tinned, high carbon steel. This solution provides stability, tone balance and durability.
